CV
Professional info
Through my internship and job experience, the many projects I have been a part of, and the broad array of engineering course I have completed, I have gained a large knowledge basis, experience working as a team, and a better understanding of what it means to me to be an Engineer.
Work experience
Reliability Engineer Intern, Gerdau, Petersburg, VA
May 2016 - Aug 2016
As an intern in the Asset Reliability Program at a Gerdau Steel Mill, I first shadowed the Meltshop Electrical Engineer through day to day tasks and read hardware and software manuals to become accustom to the environment and tools. After becoming proficient in all areas necessary, I assisted the engineer with reliability projects involving automation and human machine interface (HMI) development as well as lead my own project verifying and recalibrating natural gas meters in the Meltshop, as well as setting up a system to automate the data to an HMI.
Sales, AutoZone, Harrisonburg, VA
June 2015 - Oct 2015
While working in sales at AutoZone I gained valuable communication experience through my dealings with costumers whose first language was not English. I learned how to determine what parts a customer would need to resolve their issues as well as using a cash register and the parts inventory system.
Sales Representative Advisor, Vector Marketing, Richmond, VA
Dec 2014 - February 2015
As a sales representative advisor for Vector Marketing, I cold called potential customers to set up appointments. During these appointments i learned to properly demonstrate products as well as tailoring the sales pitch to the customers perceived needs.
